The Reno series phones from OPPO are considered one of the most famous phones in the market .. as this series targets users in the middle and upper middle class .. and the last phones that came officially in Egypt were the Reno 6 series .. and now we will present to you a review of the Oppo Reno 8 4G Who entered the market with an international guarantee.
The Design
The design point is the best and sweetest point in the Reno 8 4G phone .. with the rectangular camera frame that protrudes from the body of the phone, taking into account this defect through a transparent case in the phone box to cover this protrusion.
The shape of the large camera lenses is somewhat distinct, highlighting the sense of sophistication and luxury.. The lenses are distinguished by the presence of RingLight around the second lens.. which lights up in white when a notification is received.
The weight of the mobile phone is about 182 grams with a thickness of 7.7 mm. The phone is relatively thin, with a flat frame.. The back is “sanded” to avoid the appearance of scratches and dust.. The position of the phone in the hand is excellent.
The Screen
A 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution with a frequency of up to 90 Hz .. with a hole for the selfie camera .. and it is the same usual screen that Oppo uses in most of its Reno series phones.
It is a reasonable screen in terms of colors and brightness .. but it loses to the screens of the Samsung Super AMOLED phones, which are distinguished in terms of colors .. and it is also possible to lose to the screens of Xiaomi phones in the upper middle class.
Unfortunately, the screen comes with a huge bottom edge .. it is larger than the old Reno 6 4G !
The Performance
The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with 6 nanometer technology.. The processor is not considered valuable in this price category, but you will get the best possible performance from this processor.
By mixing the operating system and the animations in it with the hardware, you will get a fully integrated and stable experience, without any heaviness or cutting in the interface .. but the performance is directed to simple daily use .. and not directed to those looking for a powerful processor to perform difficult and heavy tasks.
Where the processor in this price category is considered weak .. The SD720G processor found in the previous Reno 6 4G was better and stronger, especially in graphic performance .. Also, in the same price category, you will find phones such as the Galaxy A52s 5G or Xiaomi 11T with more powerful processors with a noticeable difference.
As for the heat side, the phone maintains its temperature perfectly and provides good battery consumption.
Safety and other factors:
The fingerprint sensor is located at the bottom of the screen, and its performance is very excellent, as usual in OPPO phones .. As for the Face Unlock, its performance is excellent.. The security factors in the phone are generally excellent.
The mobile phone supports the NFC sensor. It has an additional microphone for noise isolation. It also comes with the Android 12 operating system.
The phone comes with regular headphones, not stereo.. The volume level is very good, but the bass performance is bad at high levels.. The phone kept the 3.5mm headphone jack.
All sensors are present and working without errors. The proximity sensor is working fine.
As for the networks, this is the permanent point of OPPO’s superiority.. There are no problems with the networks, and they work efficiently and outperform all competitors in the same price segment.
The Battery
The battery comes with a capacity of 4500 mAh .. its performance is good and there are no problems .. it can reach 7 hours of open screen without the need for charging.
And mentioning the charging, the phone comes with a 33-watt charger .. and the battery is fully charged in about an hour .. as the Reno 6 4G comes with a more powerful charger with a capacity of 50 watts!
Cameras:
The main rear lens is 64 mega-pixels with an F / 1.8 lens slot .. a second 2-megapixel microscope lens .. a third 2-megapixel lens for isolation .. unfortunately there is no Ultra Wide lens .. and the selfie is 32-megapixels with an F / 2.4 lens slot.
I compared the old Reno 6 4G and the new Reno 8 4G .. and the result came in a very large similarity between the phones, as the imaging in external lighting in the Reno 6 is better .. as for the internal lighting, the result is in favor of the Reno 8 4G with a slight difference.
With the microscope lens, which allows you to zoom in up to 15X or 30X to reach very fine details.. but we believe that the Ultra Wide lens is more necessary and important than that lens.
And compared to the A52s 5G, we saw a clear and explicit sweep and superiority in favor of Samsung with the rear camera .. especially in isolation and in poor lighting.
As for the selfie, the phone is not considered to be distinguished to a large extent in this aspect .. but it is balanced.
As for shooting videos, the phone supports shooting with a quality of up to 1080p only .. It does not support shooting 4K due to the processor used .. But it supports an additional microphone for noise isolation .. It also supports electronic stabilizer.
